{"id":7832,"date":"2022-12-22T16:00:57","date_gmt":"2022-12-22T15:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.accessafe.eu\/machinery-directive-42-2006\/"},"modified":"2024-10-08T19:02:30","modified_gmt":"2024-10-08T17:02:30","slug":"machinery-directive-42-2006","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.accessafe.eu\/en\/machinery-directive-42-2006\/","title":{"rendered":"Machinery Directive 42\/2006"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>2006\/42\/CE Directive<\/strong> dated 17 May 2006 (also known as the \u201cnew Machinery Directive\u201d) was implemented in Italy with Decree Law 27 January 2010, n. 17 (published on 19-2-2010 in the ordinary Supplement n. 36\/L of the Official Journal \u2013 general issue \u2013 n. 41) and replaces the 98\/37\/CE Directive of the European Parliament in force from 21 September 1996 (also known as the \u201cMachinery Directive\u201d), published in the Official Journal n. L 207 of 23\/07\/1998, which referred to all types of machinery and their safety components placed alone on the market.&#13;\n(This directive applied modification to the EC 89\/392\/EEC Directive of the Council, dated 14 June 1989).<\/p>\n\n<p>The EU 2006\/42\/CE Directive is applied to fixed, movable, portable machinery and lifting\/moving machinery, even if some machines remain excluded from the field of application of such Directive.&#13;\n&#13;\n<strong>The Directive defines the essential requirements regarding health and safety<\/strong>\u00a0with which the above mentioned Machines must conform from the design phase to manufacturing right up to placing on the market.<\/p>\n\n<p>The Directive places the machinery in two big macro groups:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>machinery which must be certified by notified third-party body<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>machinery which the manufacturer can certify himself<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Conformity of the Machinery listed in annex IV of the same Directive with the above mentioned requirements is established through a number assessment procedures carried out by an appointed body (Notified Certification Body).<\/p>\n\n<p>For all other machinery it is sufficient to draft and store a Technical File as per what outlined in annex VII of the Directive.&#13;\nIn this case \u201cTechnical File\u201d refers to the machinery and \u201cPertinent Technical Documentation\u201d refers to the partly-compled machinery.<\/p>\n\n<p>Machinery which has been placed on the market or have been modified after Directive came in force, must have\u00a0<strong>CE marking<\/strong>\u00a0and must come with the appropriate documentation.&#13;\n&#13;\nProducts which do not meet the Directive requirements cannot
