Some lines proved to be self-assembled and without CE marking, others had undergone revamping intervention over time\u00a0 by adding and substituting components which altered machinery performance.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Such interventions require new CE marking of the line as per machinery directive and pertinent current standards and regulations <\/h2>\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n<p>Need for interventions to <strong>increase safety level<\/strong> and <strong>the absence of conformance with standards and legislations<\/strong> exposed the company to risks which could possibly compromise their business continuity.<\/p>\n\n<p>The process lasted 6 months with an active presence of <strong>Perimetra <\/strong>\u00a0<strong>CMSE\u00ae \u2013 Certified Machinery Safety Expert <\/strong>engineers who considered all the necessary steps to carry out the project.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1 ) Perimetra risk assessment <\/h3>\n\n<p>All extrusion lines were examined whilst working, and particular attention was given to\u00a0 <strong>mechanical movements,<\/strong> \u00a0<strong>stopping time <\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>tasks carried out by machine operator<\/strong>, to identify and analyse risks according to the requirements set out in <strong>\u00a0UNI EN ISO 12100 <\/strong>standard.<\/p>\n\n<p>A number of non-conformities were detected, then all procedures to carry out to <strong>increase safety level<\/strong> were provided, by employing the latest <strong>technical standards<\/strong>, and to meet the pertinent\u00a0 <strong>E.R.H.S<\/strong> (Essential Requirements of Health and Safety) as per \u00a0<strong>Machinery Directive 2006\/42\/CE.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2) Perimetra Safety design<\/h3>\n\n<p>All <strong>interventions<\/strong> were <strong>on-board machinery,<\/strong> so our engineer specialised in <strong>aluminium\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 products, <\/strong>after an accurate on-site inspection, designed and realised the suitable safety guards to <strong>reduce the presented risks<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter class=\"wp-block-heading\">3) Perimetra Remediation<\/h3>\n\n<p>Safety remediation to include <strong>installation of on-board machinery safety guards, safety sensors, safety logic development and personnel training<\/strong> regarding safety procedures, for example, cutter stop when safety guard is opened.<\/p>\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4) Perimetra CE marking process<\/h3>\n\n<p>Perimetra has compiled all the <strong>instruction and maintenance manuals<\/strong> of the 5 extrusion lines and has provided support to<strong> draft the technical file <\/strong>according to current standards and regulations, including the form of <strong>CE declaration of conformity and relative CE plate.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter 13849<\/strong>\u2013\u00a0 Parts of command systems connected to safety<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>UNI EN ISO 20607<\/strong> \u2013 Instruction handbook \u2014 General drafting principles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Type C standards :<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>UNI EN 1114-1<\/strong>\u2013 Extruders safety requirements<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>UNI EN 1114-3<\/strong>\u2013 haul-offs safety requirements<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>All risks connected to the machinery have been reduced still maintaining factory full operation and productivity.
