Structured maintenance preserves over time what the design has defined
The integrated maintenance and traceability service enables the long-term management of safety systems installed on industrial machines and plants, maintaining their efficiency, reliability and regulatory compliance throughout the entire lifecycle. Maintenance activities are supported by a structured document management system through the dedicated SECURE safe portal, which enables the client to collect, organise and keep up to date the technical information associated with each machine.
With this integrated approach, maintenance becomes a tool for the continuous governance of safety, in compliance with machinery safety regulations including Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, standards EN ISO 13849-1/-2, IEC 60204-1 and related functional safety standards.
When is it needed
The service is indicated when:
- It is necessary to guarantee the long-term efficiency and reliability of safety systems installed on machines and plants;
- Constant regulatory compliance is to be maintained, avoiding purely reactive or undocumented interventions;
- Periodic inspection of mechanical, electrical and fluid safety components is required;
- Anomalies, wear or critical components subject to replacement need to be identified promptly;
- Safety technical documentation is dispersed, not up to date or difficult to retrieve;
- Full traceability of maintenance activities is required, useful in the event of audits, inspections or incidents.
How the assessment is carried out
The service includes inspection and functional control of the main safety components installed on each machine. Activities include:
- Visual inspections of safety devices;
- Instrumental measurements;
- Operational tests on safety systems;
- Identification of anomalies, wear phenomena and critical components subject to replacement.
NOTE: At the end of each intervention, a detailed technical report is drawn up documenting the checks carried out, highlighting any non-conformities found and providing operational indications for corrective interventions or component replacement.
